Infinity Escalation League - Second Trauma Gooescalation

This is the second Giga-Bites Infinity escalation league, and the first of 2022.

This league is intended to be a 'for everyone' style escalation league with four formats of play decided between opponents to ensure that everyone is on the same page and having a good time.

Meeting Location/Time
We will regularly be meeting at Giga-Bites 6PM-10PM. If I am able, I will be up there earlier than that to have tables set up and to help anyone needing list building assistance. If you can’t make the regular meetup time, you are able to report results up until the following meet up if you can schedule another day. You may also schedule games via Tabletop Simulator if you cannot regularly make it to Infinity night on Wednesdays.

Sign Up, Communication, and Reporting
Sign ups and Reporting will be handled digitally via the QRs below (URLs below each will also lead to the same form.) You’ll also have to sign up through the Giga-Bites events ticket purchase as well for tracking. James H will cross post all league communications in the Tabletop Gaming: Atlanta Infinity FB group and the Atlanta Infinity Discord. If you need invitations to any or all of those groups, let one of us know.

Escalation League Rules
Choose your vanilla or sectorial faction before you play your first league game. You must use the same vanilla or sectorial faction for the duration of the league.

Missions
The missions being used are the official Corvus Belli ITS 13 missions and older ITS missions updated for ITS 13. The compiled mission PDF can be found here:

Scoring
The winner of the league will be determined using a modified tournament scoring designed to encourage playing more games, but not simply giving an advantage to having more play time.

-Your first victory of the round grants +2 pts.
-The first time a Round specific mission is played during a round, it grants +1 pt.
-Once per period, you may play one additional game against the same opponent worth 1 pt for a win, 1 pt for a draw, and 0 pts for a loss.
-Each game against a different opponent shall be worth 3 pts for a win, 2 pts for a draw and 1 pt for a loss.
-Points earned per round from games are capped at 10.
-Additional points can be earned by completing achievements aimed to challenge your list building, strategic thinking, and hobbying skills. Completing sets of these achievements will grant you points based on the difficulty of the challenges.

Escalation League Rules
This is a casual league format with four modes of play: Casual, Experimental, Competitive and Random. Prior to playing a game, discuss with your opponent which type of game mode you are playing in. This will determine your list.

Casual: These are the ‘for fun’ lists. They tend to have a mix of everything without leaning hard into one specific element of the game. Casual lists are the ones you play when you aren’t concerned with winning and want to have a good time. A good measure of what a casual list is is “Would I have fun playing against this list?” If the answer is no, then the list is no good. If in doubt, ask another participant of the league if they would have fun playing against it in a casual format. Double TAG lists are rarely considered casual unless an agreement was made with the opponent beforehand for a double TAG throwdown.

Experimental: As the name suggests, experimental lists often include many units that you regularly do not take. These often require different strategies and are typically outside your comfort zone. These lists can be silly or fun and will generally be composed of units that are not often seen in the ‘competitive’ field.

Competitive: These are serious lists that you would bring to any competitive tournament. These often include ‘power’ pieces or units considered very strong, either in fireteams or multiple threats that can overwhelm your opponent.

Examples of Competitive Lists:
-Core Fireteam with HI Shooter + Cheap filler
-Core Fireteam with MSV2 Shooter + Cheap filler
-Core Fireteams with 3+ Wildcards
-Haris Fireteams with 2 Wildcards
-2+ Troopers with Total Immunity
-2+ Impersonators / 2+ Hidden Deployment / 4+ Camouflage units / 2+ TAGs
-4+ Troopers that start in the mid-field
-2+ Infiltration +6 troopers
-3+ Mimetism -6 troopers
-Andromeda, Sheskiin, Hector, Achilles, Avatar, Nourkias, Mirage 5, Speculo Killer Minelayer, Shinobu, etc

Random: These are lists specifically made by the Infinity Random List Generator found here: http://www.infinityutilities.de/randomlistgenerator

For the sake of fairness, a screenshot of the generated army list is required plus the army code post-game.

General House Rules:
-Shooting through 2 or more Narrow / Wide Gates incurs a -3 MOD.
-You may not shoot under a scatter scenery piece if the height does not go above a model’s knees. (e.g. Cars)
-Discuss “hollow” or non-standard terrain features before your game starts to decide how they will be played.
-In addition to their normal weapons, non-TAGs and non-REMs have a Knife (DAM PH-1, Shock, Silent).
-Players will build two lists for the mission they are playing. They will decide which list to use after drawing their Classifieds but before the Lieutenant Roll.
-The ITS 13 rules are in effect for the entire league, including any changes to the Classified Deck.
